Activities at M HKA Opening Party Practical information

During Antwerp Art Weekend 2026, Muhka becomes a place for exhibitions, performances, an opening party and activities beyond the museum for four days. On Thursday 14 May, the museum is exceptionally free to visit all day. In the museum, you can discover we refuse_d, Nueva Visión. Print as Artistic Practice, 1940–1976, 20 Years and More: Works from the Collection, COSMIC BODY – First Incision and Dries van Elke. Beyond the museum, you can also discover Muhka On the spot, the De Cinema event België – Argentinië 1976 and the film Happy Sad.

On Sunday 17 May, OPUS III by Stef Van Looveren closes the weekend with a durational performance.

Opening party on Thursday 14 May

We kick off Antwerp Art Weekend with a major opening party at Muhka. Drop by for an evening with art, drinks, music, lectures and dance.
