In 'You Used to Be Part of Something', Vaast Colson reunites twelve parts of a sculptural “cake” from 2005. The work plays with ideas of division, circulation, and loss. What was once a single whole now shows how art can be material, symbolic, and ephemeral at the same time.

This archival presentation offers, for the first time, an overview of forty years of Ruimte Morguen. Archival materials and original artworks show how artists created a laboratory for artistic experimentation and critical awareness in the city. An attitude that feels urgent once again today.

In Chillahona (2022), Saodat Ismailova weaves personal memories with political history, taking the viewer into the perestroika years in Central Asia. The exhibition combines this three-part video installation with a contemporary interpretation of the local embroidery falak, in which motifs of the lunar cycle, animals, and a womb are brought to life through light projections.

The Geopolitics of Infrastructure brought together artists who explored the enchantment and power relations of infrastructure. It also considered the possibilities of artistic imagination in conceptualising new and alternative infrastructural models.

On the occasion of the publication of the book Founder’s Choice, Muhka brought together a selection of works by the artist for an INBOX presentation. The book offers a richly illustrated overview of the activities of T.O.P. office, compiled by Luc Deleu and published by Hopper & Fuchs.

In the exhibition 'Journey to the Stars', Panamarenko’s fascination with the cosmos was at the center. By presenting major works such as Bing of the Ferro Lusto, Flying Cigar Called Flying Tiger, and De Grote Plumbiet together for the first time, complemented by calculations, sketches, and photographs from the archive, the artist’s thought process and imagination were revealed.

From 1974 to 1982, cultural centre King Kong was a vibrant space in Antwerp where film, debate, and activism came together. In addition to offering a broad spectrum of film classics and contemporary auteur cinema, King Kong also served as a platform for socially critical documentaries, feminist films, queer cinema, and revolutionary Third Cinema.

The first institutional solo exhibition of Özgür Kar in Belgium, MALAISE, was on view as a site-specific installation. The presentation included theatrical sound and a video installation that explored themes of collective unease, stagnation, and endurance.

In the summer of 2025 Muhka presented a selection of 20 billboard posters by international artists in its INBOX space (5th floor). The posters came from the second edition of the Onboards Biennale, which in summer 2023 transformed Antwerp’s urban landscape with 2 × 100 artworks displayed across the city.

In 2024, Antwerp Art once again awarded the Graduation Prize to two young artists from KASKA and SLA. The prize supports emerging artists with a cash award and an exhibition during Antwerp Art Weekend. The works of Julia Tröscher, Juli Bierich, and Emma Mann were on view at Muhka during Antwerp Art Weekend 2025.

In 2024, Sean Peleman won the Hugo Roelandt Prize with his graduation project in the programme Graphic Art and Drawing at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. The Muhka invited him to make a presentation for INBOX during the exhibition Hugo Roelandt – The End is a New Beginning. (spring 2025)
