Opening of the new exhibition season — Autumn 2025

Party

9 Oct 2025, 20:00 - 01:00

Join us in celebrating the start of a new season at M HKA.

Thursday evening, 9 October, M HKA throws open its doors — free to the public — to launch the autumn season in style.
Join us for an evening of new exhibitions, discovered in the company of the artists themselves. Our guides will be present throughout the galleries and are on hand to offer insight and conversation.

Be sure to catch the concert by Niko G & Kali and dance the night away afterwards at our M HKAFE.

Programme

20:00 — 23:00

Free admission to all exhibitions, with guides in the galleries.

The Associations of Pauline Curnier Jardin

The first survey of French artist Pauline Curnier Jardin. Twenty years of her exuberant, multifaceted practice are brought together in films, drawings, sculptures, installations and a stage for live events. Step into a universe where cinema, performance and personal or collective stories merge into a festive, layered whole.

Screen printing with Colson & Curnier Jardin – in collaboration with Rombus Screen Printing Studio (ground floor)

For the opening night, we’re bringing out our screens again. Come and apply some pressure yourself—not on people, but on fabric. Under the guidance of Jelle Crama from Rombus Screen Printing Studio.

Two artists set the tone: Vaast Colson, featured in the collection presentation You Used To Be Part Of Something, and Pauline Curnier Jardin, with her solo exhibition The Associations of Pauline Curnier Jardin.

We provide high-quality T-shirts in white, pink, and mocha, available for €12. Or bring your own textile — a shirt, sweater, or tote bag. We’ll be printing with black, blue, and pink ink.

22:15 — 23:00

Concert by Romanian rap duo Niko G x Kali on the stage at the heart of Pauline Curnier Jardin’s exhibition, 2nd floor.

Rap duo consisting of the singer and actor Nicoleta Ghiță and the multidisciplinary artist Mihaela Drăgan. A unique phenomenon on the Romanian scene, these two Roma women rappers aim to overturn a music industry dominated by sexism. Their powerful lyrics combine voodoo energy, sisterhood and an affirmation of the power of women.

22:00 — 01:00

Party with drinks & DJ Tori Ann in M HKAFE
