FRONT ROW with Pauline Curnier Jardin

Artist Talk, FRONT ROW

30 Oct 2025, 19:00 - 20:30

Pauline Curnier Jardin

Discover the work of Pauline Curnier Jardin and how she weaves rituals, stories, and imagination into films, installations, and performances. On 30 October, she will present her practice and discuss freedom, resistance, and collective narratives.

During this FRONT ROW conversation, Pauline Curnier Jardin will take you into her unique artistic universe. Twenty years of her hybrid practice come together in films, drawings, sculptures, installations, and a platform for live events, as seen in her first overview exhibition at M HKA.

About Pauline Curnier Jardin

Curnier Jardin explores how personal and collective stories emerge, how rituals and history manifest, and which voices often remain invisible. In this conversation, she will discuss her working methods, the role of performance and audience, and how fiction and reality, past and present, intersect in her work. Expect an evening full of images, stories, and reflections on freedom, resistance, imagination, and community.

Pauline Curnier Jardin (b. 1980, Marseille) works at the intersection of installation, performance, film, and drawing. Her work has been shown internationally at institutions including Palais de Tokyo, Tate Modern, Hamburger Bahnhof, and the Venice Biennale. She has received awards such as the German Preis der Nationalgalerie (2019) and the Villa Romana Prize (2021).
