Introduction to Art

In the guided tour Introduction to Art, looking at art is key. Together with the youngsters, we uncover the building blocks of contemporary art. The young people get acquainted with the visual components (shape, colour, line, size and composition) of various art works and start to actively experiment with them. We examine the media and materials used in contemporary art and how the choice of a medium co-determines the message.

Starting from these elements, the youngsters form their own opinion about the works of art and try to figure out the meaning.

For school groups applying for a guided tour, M HKA is open from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 on.
